Laura Pua is the General Manager of Sterling iTech Services Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Scion Global). She has over 28 years of experience in IT, which exposed her to numerous software applications implementation for various industries including banking (treasury) and financial services, healthcare, distribution and logistics, and business intelligence in Malaysia, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Started her career as an IT programmer, Laura grew and developed through sitting on various positions in different companies such as Technical Manager for applications team, database distribution, business intelligence and software development teams, and Consulting Manager for an Oracle Distributor where she managed the Marketing, Pre-Sales and Technical Services departments.

Her affiliates include Patimas Computers Berhad Group, Tabung Haji Technologies, K.L., SWI International Singapore, Tantus Microsystems, London, U.K. and Malay Sino Technologies Sdn Bhd, K.L.

Laura believes strongly that service excellence and customer relationship is the key to any IT business’ success. And to maintain such relationships, she and her team must demonstrate commitment and deliver value-for-money services to their client. Her commitment has always upholds this philosophy and she ensures that this value is inculcated in each of her team members; for long term mutual gains to both company and clients alike.

Being one of the sought-after software application consultants, Laura’s strengths are in her technical solutions-finding and pre-sales, project management and client support skills. She has successfully worked with local and international solution architects, systems and business analysts to propose the most optimal solution to her clients within their budget.

She holds a BSc (Hons) Comp Science, Minor – Management from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
